According to Katherine Belen, Programme Head for UN Women Safe Cities, harassment is not a trivial annoyance; this is something that has tremendous effect on women.

Quezon City is the pilot city of the Safe Cities Global Initiative implemented by the UN Women in the Philippines and has increased fines for violators from P1,000 to P5,000 which also subject to increase more depending on severity of harassment.

One among the highlights of the event is the lighting ceremony of lanterns way up to the sky which made the night literally colorful!
