Most of the time, I envy Moms who can cook. Why? It’s just like this, I’m a Wife and a Mom but doesn’t know how to cook. My cooking abilities are just for frying – hotdog, egg, spam, chicken, porkchop, that’s it! Now here’s another thing, I don’t eat vegetables! But despite these characteristics of mine, the interest to attend cooking demo events gives me that inspiration to learn even just the basics. That’s why I’m very thankful to Mommy Bloggers Philippines for giving me the chance to be part of Ajinomoto’s media activity.
The presscon cum cooking show highlights the brand PORKSAVOR® All-in-One Seasoning Mix with its new brand ambassadors Mr. Enrique Gil and his mother Mrs. Bambi Gil held at the Center for Culinary Arts in Katipunan, Quezon City.
Entitled “Step Up Your Cooking with PORKSAVOR®”, Ms. Nancy Reyes-Lumen and the brand ambassadors conducted live cooking demonstrations in a bid to challenge homemakers to step up their cooking and bring out the meaty goodness of home-cooked dishes using PORKSAVOR®.
According to Ms. Daryl Magno, Ajinomoto’s Category Manager – Flavor Seasonings, “Filipinos love food with strong meaty flavors and PORKSAVOR® can provide meaty taste and aroma for all types of dishes because it is made from natural pork meat and bone extract, complete with spices and seasonings.”PORKSAVOR® can provide the meaty taste in dishes even without meat. When asked why they chose the mom and son duo to be brand ambassadors, Ms. Magno emphasized that Enrique Gil was a complete package – young, cool, active, but most of all, a child who loves to eat what Mommy Bambi prepares for him.
Oh and because I’m one among the Filipinos who loves meat, this activity definitely suits me as this will be another on-hand experience to attest, try the dishes literally without meat and know if PORKSAVOR® can truly provide the meaty taste I’m looking forward to taste.
Using PORKSAVOR®, Ms. Nancy Reyes-Lumen cooked meatless pancit, which makes a great high fiber snack for those limiting their cholesterol intake.
Mrs. Bambi Gil, who knows her way around the kitchen, also helped prepare the PORKSAVOR® Veggie Soup and Pastel dishes. Both recipes are a step up from the usual ‘pambaon’ ideas and are likewise perfect for the rainy season.

I love every single dish that was served during the event but my most favorite was the meatless pancit! It really brought out the meatiness using PORKSAVOR®!
